Hackers attack Deribit hot wallets, steal $28M in crypto
Crypto platform Deribit was hacked for $28 million late evening on Nov 1.

The incident was confirmed via its official Twitter account a few hours later. it will loss of BTC, ETH and USDC.
According to Deribit hackers had compromised several of its hot wallets the firm sought to reassure users that said funds remain safe and any losses incurred are covered by the company reserves.
The attack did not affect the Fireblocks of any cold storage wallets. adding that it is company policy to store 99% of funds offline in cold storage facilities.

Our hot wallet was hacked for USD 28m earlier this evening just before midnight UTC on 1 November 2022.
Fireblocks refers to a third-party service that helps institutional players handle crypto custody settlement and transfers.
Furthermore, withdrawals have been halted until more is known while the exchange has asked users hot to deposit funds until all claims is given.
